Baka - Japanese word for idiot or fool
Loosely put an Anime Baka is someone who's crazy about Anime. However interpretation's may vary. I tend to think of Anime Baka as meaning something like drooling fan boy/girl.

2009-05-26 News! Hayao Miyazaki in Berkeley July 25th
Heard this at Fanime and I see it's buzzing around the web, but not with a lot of details. He's going to accept an award for lifetime achievement. There is also supposed to be discussion between him and Roland Kelts. The feeling seems to be that this may be his last public appearance in the US. Apparently it will fulfill an old contract requirement with Disney.
